Volker Koos

Born in 1947 on the Baltic island of Rügen, Volker Koos studied physics at Rostock University. With a life-long fascination for aviation and history, he collected photos and documentary material in his private archive.

Besides his professional work, he wrote a number of books and many articles about German aviation history.

Living in Rostock, Koos was fortunate to interview former personnel of Heinkel and Arado factories that were founded in the town. They provided him with first-hand information and original material for his studies of aviation history.
