Everlasting Love featured in Sir Kenneth Branagh’s 2021 film, Belfast, is a classic song that, in 1968, catapulted the Love Affair to fame and for the next three years the group were almost as popular, in Britain, as the Beatles. This never before told ‘behind the screams’ story of the youngest group to have a No. 1 hit, may be fun and fascinating, but it is also a serious piece of pop music history, appealing to everyone who loved, or lived in the swinging 60s.

Patricia Jackson started going out with Mick Jackson when she was just 14 and he became the bassist in the Soul Survivors, later renamed the Love Affair. In 1968 the group toppled the Beatles off the top of the British singles chart and they were the youngest to ever have a No. 1 hit. For the first ten years of their marriage, Patricia was the manager of Brook Street Employment Bureau in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Twenty years ago, she became an EFT practitioner and hypnotherapist and has successfully helped thousands of clients. She is author and narrator of twenty SOS (Stories Overcome Stress) bedtime story apps for children, that are hypnotherapy in disguise. Mick and Patricia recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. They have a daughter and son and three grandchildren. Everlasting Love & Love Affair is her debut memoir.
